The State/District and Union Territories play a pivotal role in the achievement of SDGs targets at national level it the nodal agency for coordinating and monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals. The SDGs framework specifically targets ending some key issues related to these goals in all forms, it involves the process of adapting, planning, implementing and monitoring the SDGs from national to local level. Bihar, India’s third most populous and most densely populated state in the country and it is also one of the most resource rich lands. But what it can strengthen is human capital that depends on a healthy and skilled population across all socio-economic groups and across all regions within the state. Smart Cities Mission is to make financial growth and improve the quality of life. The objective of the smart cities mission is to develop comprehensive and sustainable citizen friendly cities enhancing the quality of life of the citizens. The focus of smart city in India is on investing in infrastructure and development of cities bringing them at the same level as global smart cities. The focus of Smart City development in India is not on developing green-field cities but on the development of urban ecosystem well-represented as physical, institutional, economic and social infrastructure development.
